Interesting quote ...

"The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn."

Funny, I was talking with my grandmother today and she was commenting on how my cousin (who is 18 and looking at colleges) can "write so well"...I thought when has my grandmother had the opportunity to read her work. Turns out she was referring to her penmenship... funny how the different generations value different skills. Thankfully for me in this age - I like to unlearn, explore, relearn, unlearn, explore, relearn...

Also funny Nicole - in the "book" that Bob gave us to look through for our Action Research project one of the case studies focuses on penmanship (ie. joining letters!) and how it affects success. The whole time I was reading it I was thinking of you and how obsolete/ridiculous you would think it was!!!
